Fatih Akın’s “In the Fade” Wins Golden Globe For Best Foreign Movie

Turkish-German director Fatih Akın, who is known with the films Head On, The Edge of Heaven, and Soul Kitchen, wins the best foreign movie award at the golden globe 2018 with his feature In the Fade (Aus dem Nichts).



The premiere of In the Fade was at last year’s Cannes, where Diane Kruger won the best actress award of the festival.

One of the most infamous terror attacks in the recent memory, where 10 people (8 of them had Turkish roots) had been allegedly killed by the extreme right wing Nationalist Socialist Underground casts shadows over the movie.

Amazon registers its offical branch in Turkey

The biggest on-line retailer enters Turkish market. Amazon.com also provides prime video service.
The company opened its Turkish branch in Besiktas, Istanbul. It is registered as “Amazon Turkey Services LLC”
with the major steakholder being Amazon Europe Core, registered in Luxemburg.
The company’s agenda includes acquisitions.
